General terms for Users

  • 1. Membership.
    1. You have been granted access to Settly’s internet platform by your (or your partner’s) employer. This relocation platform incorporates technical applications that allow you to access information, chat groups, events, establish contact, ask questions and gather information via so-called ‘hosts’ (the ‘Services’).
    2. In order to use the Services Settly offers, you have to complete the registration procedure on the Settly website or app. By completing the registration procedure, you enter into an agreement with Settly (‘the Membership’).
    3. By doing so, you guarantee that the information submitted to Settly for registration is complete and truthful.
    4. Settly reserves the right to refuse your Membership.
    5. Memberships are exclusive and not transferable.
  • 2. User’s Obligations
    1. You are obligated to only provide true and accurate personal, social and professional information.
    2. You are not allowed to use, upload, post, email, send, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that violate laws and statutes in any manner (illegal contents).
    3. During registration, you must determine a password you will use to identify yourself to access the Services. You are responsible for keeping the password secret and preventing other persons from accessing your account via this password. You have to notify Settly immediately of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security. You have to inform Settly immediately if there is any indication that the password is being used by others.
    4. When using the Services, you have to adhere to all Settly’s guidelines as amended from time to time. Such guidelines are on our Setttly platform (www.settly.nl)
  • 3. Termination of Membership
    1. The membership is for a set period of time as per agreed with your (partners) employer. You can find this end date in your profile.
    2. If you leave the company prior to this date, the membership will be terminated upon your last working day in the office.
    3. You can terminate your Membership at any time via the Settly website or app.
    4. If you breach your obligations as a User, Settly shall be entitled to terminate your Membership with immediate effect, to block your account and/or to prevent further use of the Services by the User. Any other rights of Settly shall remain unaffected.
  • 4. Privacy
    1. Settly acknowledges that any personal data provided to Settly is extremely important and confidential. Settly shall comply with all applicable legal provisions regarding data protection (Dutch Data Protection Laws, European Data Protection Regulations and Directives, and any other applicable data protection legislation). Details on Settly’s handling and processing of your personal data are set forth in our privacy statement.
  • 5. Liability of Settly
    1. Settly is not responsible for any information provided by or party to any agreements you make by communicating via the Settly website or app. This also applies to any agreements between you and third-party service providers, providing supplemental services embedded in or linked to the Settly website or app. Such third-party service providers are acting independently from Settly, and Settly does not accept any liability for third parties’ acts or omissions.
    2. Settly shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages unless those damages are caused by Settly’s gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
    3. You are solely responsible for your behaviour and your interaction with other users of Settly’s Services. Settly shall not be liable for any user’s behaviour and interaction with other users, if any.
  • 6. Miscellaneous
    1. Place of jurisdiction, insofar as legally admissible, shall be Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
    2. Insofar as legally admissible, Dutch Law will be applicable.
